United Response is looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Support Worker to join our supported living services in Exeter. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a dedicated team supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs, including Deaf individuals, both in their homes and in the local community. The role includes some evening, weekend, and bank holiday shifts, as well as sleep-in duties.
Job Responsibility:
Supporting the Service Manager in the day-to-day running of the service
Providing direct, hands-on support to the people we support
Supervising staff, managing rotas, and overseeing support plans
Liaising with families, professionals, and external agencies
Ensuring the highest standards of care and compliance are maintained
Requirements:
Confidence in mentoring and supporting team members
Strong organisational and communication skills
IT literacy and ability to manage administrative tasks
A full UK driving licence
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and occasional sleep-ins
Experience supporting Deaf people, or a willingness to learn sign language, is highly valued
