Job Description:

GRAEF has an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Structural Engineer in our Sarasota, FL office. This role is ideal for a Senior Structural Engineer who enjoys a technical design role, working on a wide variety of building projects including healthcare, high-education, multi-family, hospitality, commercial and renovation projects, as well as managing and leading projects, and assisting in developing business for the structural discipline.

Job Responsibility:

Project oversight including setting priorities and developing objectives, project financial management, as well as hands-on involvement in the design process on an extensive array of projects
Mentor less-experienced structural staff
Manage and lead projects
Development of proposals and tracking potential projects and clients, playing a key role in business development activities that would continue building our backlog in FL

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
Minimum of 8 years of experience in structural design of buildings
Professional registration as a PE in FL and ability to gain registration in other states as required for work
Proficient with Bluebeam and REVIT
Good communication skills and a proven track record in successfully interacting with clients and internal team members

Nice to have:

Master’s degree with a structural emphasis
Project Management experience
Experience in business development and project development processes, including marketing activities, client development, project tracking and proposal development
