Senior Structural Engineer

• Lead a project team in delivering projects
• Preparation of detailed structural calculations, specifications and drawing packages
• Work across a variety of sectors such as education, commercial, critical systems, scitech and residential
• Assume greater levels of responsibility and autonomy over time

• Approximately 5 years of experience in structural engineering
• Passionate about creative design and structural analysis
• Interested in complex structures and their challenges
• Strong digital engineering and modelling skills
• Accredited with an MEng degree level (or equivalent)
• Close to being or will have recently become Chartered with IStructE or ICE
• Strong practical experience of structural engineering within a consultancy environment
• Competent level of relevant IT skills including using structural design software such as Robot, Tekla and TEDDS
• Familiarity of coordinating projects using BIM 360
• Ideally using parametric design tools
• Proven ability to produce creative design solutions in multiple materials including steel, reinforced concrete and masonry
• Passion for creative, sustainable low carbon and intuitive design
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience of using initiative to overcome challenges
