Job Responsibility:
Lead structural design for varied and complex projects, integrating innovative engineering solutions across multiple materials (steel, concrete, wood, masonry)
Supervise and mentor junior engineers, fostering skill development and professional growth
Perform advanced structural analyses and present findings in clear, comprehensive reports
Oversee project management, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project integration
Stay current with advancements in structural engineering and incorporate cutting-edge practices
Engage with clients to understand technical needs, provide strategic insights, and support business development by showcasing Olsson’s technical capabilities and expertise
Requirements:
Strong communication and leadership skills
Ability to manage complex projects and mentor engineering teams
Master’s degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering (structural emphasis) preferred
Minimum of 8 years of structural engineering experience (preferred: 12+ years) with a focus on facilities design and project leadership
Professional Engineer (PE) license required
Proficiency in structural design and drafting software
experience with Autodesk Revit preferred
Experience with Post Tensioned Concrete Design preferred
Nice to have:
Master’s degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering (structural emphasis)
12+ years of structural engineering experience
Experience with Autodesk Revit
