Job Description:

We are looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to drive the technical vision of the Billing Platform. This platform includes a comprehensive array of components such as a core billing engine, invoicing system, commissions management, collections, payment processing, CRM integration, subscription management, credit control and dunning management, along with reporting and analytics.

Job Responsibility:

  • Deliver cutting edge platforms that scale to users' needs, focusing on reliability and efficiency
  • Lead and manage a team of ambitious, talented engineers, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to ensure their success
  • Provide hands-on technical leadership in architecture/design, vision/direction/requirements setting, and incident response processes for your reports
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment, promoting innovation, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement within the team
  • Partner with our recruiting team to attract and hire top talent and define the overall hiring strategies for your team

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of professional software development experience
  • At least 4 years of experience managing teams that shipped large scale applications and distributed systems
  • Proven success in recruiting and building great teams
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for various audiences
  • Effective cross-functional collaboration
  • Thrives with high autonomy and responsibility in an ambiguous environment
  • Technical acumen to drive clarity with staff engineers on architecture and strategic technical decisions
  • Ability to foster a healthy, inclusive, challenging, and supportive work environment
  • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree, preferably in CS, or equivalent experience

Nice to have:

  • Experience in the financial technology sector, with a focus on billing, payments, subscription management, and financial reporting
