Job Description:

A Space Planner is entrusted with the responsibility of conceptualizing, optimizing, and overseeing the efficient utilization of interior spaces, primarily within commercial, retail, or corporate settings. This role involves conducting comprehensive analyses of spatial requirements, crafting innovative layouts, and ensuring seamless alignment with organizational objectives, building regulations, and design principles. Additionally, the Space Planner Lead provides strategic direction and leadership to a team of Space Planners, fostering collaboration and driving excellence in spatial design and management.

Job Responsibility:

  • Develop efficient floor plans that maximize space utilization and functionality
  • Optimize layouts to support business objectives (e.g., employee productivity, customer experience, or operational efficiency)
  • Create 2D and 3D models, CAD drawings, and space plans for stakeholder approval
  • Conduct space utilization studies and occupancy analysis to inform planning decisions
  • Recommend workplace strategies based on data, trends, and business needs
  • Implement flexible work environments (hot desking, activity-based working, etc.)
  • Work with senior management, HR, facilities, and department leads to understand space needs
  • Collaborate with architects, interior designers, and construction teams for implementation
  • Present space planning proposals and get buy-in from key stakeholders
  • Ensure all space plans adhere to building codes, accessibility regulations, and corporate guidelines
  • Maintain space standards for consistency across locations
  • Integrate sustainability and wellness principles into design
  • Use AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant software for space planning and design
  • People Management

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Facilities Management, or related field
  • Proficiency in space planning software (AutoCAD, Revit)
  • Understanding of architectural drawings and building codes
  • Experience with workplace strategy and occupancy analytics
  • Knowledge of furniture systems and workplace ergonomics
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management
  • Ability to balance design aesthetics with functionality and efficiency
  • Project management skills to handle multiple assignments

  • Build strategic media audiences through 3rd party syndicated audience tools (Nielsen, Mintel, Comscore, MediaTools, Commspoint, MRI-Simmons, YouGov Profiles) to develop audience recommendations and understand audience media consumption and behaviors
  • Use competitive intelligence tools to identify category white space and support media strategy
  • Flawlessly manage client media budget, including the development of media flowcharts, sending flowchart updates, working with clients to secure budget approvals, and authorizing Activation teams to purchase
  • Support in client billing, including partnership with the Finance team to review draft invoices against anticipated spend, ensuring invoices line up with planned investment
  • Crafting internal and external POVs based on trending topics impacting the media landscape, category or market trends, clearly articulating the impact to media recommendations
