Job Description:

Senior Software Engineer role in Customer Returns team at IKEA, building systems used in Customer Support across the globe to make returns simple and hassle-free through omnichannel experience. Transforming legacy monoliths into scalable, event-driven architectures.

Job Responsibility:

Building intuitive interfaces and integrating systems
Continuously measuring impact for customers and co-workers
Full DevOps cycle: understanding problems, designing, delivering, testing, and running solutions in production
Supporting and guiding fellow developers
Setting shared standards and fostering collaboration

Requirements:

7+ years of software engineering experience
Strong leadership and mentoring skills
Proven experience in web development with an Agile/DevOps mindset
Hands-on expertise in Golang, TypeScript (React), Node.js, Playwright, GCP, GitHub Actions, Terraform, microservices, REST, and event-driven architectures
Track record of building accessible front-end solutions that meet compliance standards
Commitment to writing high-quality code
Ability to align technology with business needs

Nice to have:
