Job Responsibility

Organize and deliver medically-prescribed physical therapy to restore function and prevent disability following disease, injury or loss of a body part
Ensure adherence to Hospitals and departmental policies and procedures
Patient care assignment may include Neonate, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric age groups
THERAPY - Evaluate patient to determine treatment goals
outline delivery of therapy according to assessed needs
plan therapy program involving physical means to include exercise, massage, heat, sound, water, light, and electricity
EVALUATION - Apply methodology for evaluation of functional ability
CONSULTATION - Consult with medical staff on patient care
EDUCATION - Educate patient in use of specialized equipment, posture control, and therapeutic procedures
INSTRUCTION - Instruct caregivers on prescribed physical therapy regimen

Job Responsibility

Provide comprehensive assessment, diagnostic and rehabilitative services for all area of auditory, vestibular, and related disorders
Provide supervision of graduate students and clinical fellows engaged in similar work
Ensure adherence to Hospitals and departmental policies and procedures
Patient care assignment may include neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric age groups
AUDITORY EVALS - Provide direct clinical services to patients including standard hearing evaluations, electrophysiologic testing, otoacoustic emission testing and electronystagmography testing
ASSESSMENT - Provide patient care services including assessment, diagnosis, prevention, identification, consultation, habilitation, rehabilitation, instruction, counseling and prognostication
AUDITORY SERVICES - Provide auditory services including hearing aid and assistive listening device evaluations and dispensing
initiate appropriate follow-up and referral to other healthcare professionals
HEARING IMPAIRMENT - Supervise programs identifying cases of hearing impairment including newborn hearing screens
POLICY & PROCEDURE - Follow established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and/or infection control standards
