Job Responsibility:

  • Design and implement technical solutions that keep the internal Verkada engine running
  • Build and deliver improvements to systems that allow Verkada to seamlessly transact and ship all around the world
  • Improve systems observability and invest in reliability & correctness of data
  • Develop customer empathy to propose improvements to systems
  • Lead projects from ideation to release
  • Help and mentor junior engineers

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of software engineering with a focus on distributed systems at scale
  • Shipped customer facing products or internal tools in the past
  • Flexible and adaptive in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Passion for observability and reliability
  • In-depth expertise in distributed systems and data processing
  • AWS Cloud experience touching foundational blocks like: Kubernetes, Fargate, Lambda, Airflow, Athena, DynamoDB, VPC, and EC2.
