Job Description:

Senior Software Development Engineer - Full Stack position at CVS Health Digital, working on building digital assets, driving delivery excellence, and improving customer experience in the healthcare digital space

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of B2B applications using Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, Search, NoSQL (MongoDB/Cassandra) and/or Kafka
  • Extensive front end experience with Angular JS/React JS, HTML, CSS, Java Scripts
  • Develop and maintain scalable REST and GraphQL APIs
  • Act as a technical owner across strategic efforts involving the Cloud, backend solution, streaming, ML and more within Catalog
  • Implement pub/sub messaging solutions using Kafka
  • Collaborate with product managers, architects, and other engineering teams to understand business requirements
  • Participate in code reviews, provide mentorship to junior developers
  • Integrate cloud-based services into application architecture
  • Drive the adoption of CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, building, and deployment
  • Analyze and resolve complex issues in the applications
  • Continuously optimize application performance and scalability
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and tools
  • Partner with technical leaders within CVS and the open source community
  • Promote reusability of API's across various clients
  • Encourage and maintain engineering excellence
  • Develop mindshare by collaborating and discussing ideas
  • Plot and execute on the path from prototype to production for features

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in systems analysis and application program development including both front end and backend
  • 5+ years of development experience in one or more of the following languages: Java, SpringBoot, Search, NoSQL and/or Kafka
  • 5+ years of experience within an Agile software development
  • 3+ years of Web application development experience using Angular JS/React, CSS, Html, Javascript and / or Nodejs
  • 3+ years of experience building Enterprise solutions and managing client requirements and technical solutions
  • 3+ years of experience with cloud computing technologies
  • possess a track record developing in GCP/Azure or similar public cloud environment
  • 2+ years of experience in a DevOps role working with various technologies like Kubernetes, Argocd, CircleCI, GIT, Jenkins, Maven, JUnit, Docker, JMeter, Artifactory
  • 2+ years of CI/CD Pipeline automation experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience)

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Machine Learning and/or Artificial Intelligence (Vertex AI, Gen AI, GPT 3.5) modeling
  • Familiarity with GraphQL/gRPC
  • Experience working with any Cloud Providers/Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services such as Google Cloud Storage, Kubernetes (GKE) specifically from a software development perspective
  • Hands-on experience with Confluent Kafka or equivalent pub/sub messaging systems, including designing and implementing Kafka topics and consumers
  • Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes with a focus on deploying and managing applications
