Job Description:

We are currently recruiting a Senior Systems and Safety Assurance Engineer to work on major rail signalling programs on the west coast. The company has a history of working on some of the country’s most prestigious, city-shaping rail and infrastructure projects such as Digital Systems, Sydney Metro and many others. You will be afforded the opportunity to work both on delivery and client-side on various rail programs.

Job Responsibility:

  • Producing works associated with Systems Engineering and Safety assurance

  • Systems Integration
  • Develop Safety Case Reports, Assurance plans, Hazard/Safety Analyses
  • Conduct requirements verification and develop test cases and procedures
  • Assist in Tender preparation
  • Display a deep understanding of safety assurance in the context of conventional or modern signalling systems
  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards
  • Confidently engage with internal and external stakeholders including operators, government, contractors

Requirements:

  • Bachelors Engineering – Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronics/Civil or similar
  • 8+ years’ experience in Systems Engineering posts, ideally within signalling projects
  • Prior use of Requirements Management tools such as DOORS Classic or NG
  • Commercial / Consultative acumen – confident in communication
  • Basic understanding of Rail Safety National Law, EN5012x
  • Sound knowledge of principles associated with the INCOSE Systems Engineering Handbook or iESM Handbook

Nice to have:

  • Exposure to Communications systems
  • Experience with modern signalling such as ETCS or CBTC
