Job Description:

We have a fantastic opportunity for dedicated Senior Residential Practitioner to join our Residential Children’s Home provisions. ForeverCare Provide person centered support and care for children and young people between the ages of 5 and 18 years with a variety of different needs and requirements. Our Homes are 2 bed giving young people a homely environment to live in.

Job Responsibility:

  • Overseeing of each shift
  • Provide first line management and supervision to the Residential Practitioner on duty
  • Report directly to the Deputy Manager & Registered Manager.

Requirements:

  • Have a minimum of 1 years’ experience in a Senior / Team leader role
  • Be Committed to achieving the best for children and young people
  • Be able to prioritise work load and duties
  • Be experienced in leading and delegating to the team on duty
  • Be confident in regard to decision making and accountability
  • Be able to work towards achieving the best outcomes of children and young people in line with the children’s homes regulations
  • Have an understanding of Care Plans, Risk Assessments and completing these documents
  • Have an understanding of the Children's Homes Regulations
  • Be able to Safeguard and protect the wellbeing of children and young people at all times and ensure that Residential practitioners carry out their duties appropriately at all times.
  • Be able to supervise and carry out 1:1 practice based supervision to team members on an ongoing basis
  • Work collaboratively with other Senior practitioners and management to ensure the service meets the required standard
  • Act in the absence of the Homes Registered Manager & Deputy Manager and seek approval when required
  • Work as a valued member of the Team at all times
  • Be willing to complete training as required
  • Follow Company Policy & Procedure at all times and ensure staff team members conduct themselves appropriately
  • Be confident in challenging inappropriate practices and standards and have a thorough understanding of Safeguarding Procedures.
  • Be able to communicate professionally both with staff members and professionals
  • Be outgoing, caring, and compassionate.
  • Be able to advocate for the needs, wishes, and views of the young people and children we care for.
