Job Description:

A well-established property consultancy is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their growing residential team based in Birmingham. This is a fantastic opportunity for a client-facing Senior Quantity Surveyor who wants to take the next step in their career within a dynamic and commercially focused environment. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for delivering a range of cost consultancy services across residential schemes, ensuring high-quality outputs while working to tight deadlines. Projects may include new-build developments, regeneration works, and mixed-use schemes, offering long-term variety and progression opportunities.

Job Responsibility:

  • Deliver pre- and post-contract quantity surveying services
  • Prepare cost plans, estimates, and tender documentation
  • Manage valuations, interim payments, and final accounts
  • Provide commercially sound advice to clients throughout the project lifecycle
  • Maintain a keen awareness of market trends and economic indicators
  • Deliver cost consultancy services across residential schemes

Requirements:

  • MRICS or FRICS Qualified
  • RICS Registered Valuer
  • Strong knowledge of the RICS 'Red Book'
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365
  • Ideally experienced with KEL and Argus Developer (training available)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency
  • High-quality report writing and client presentation skills
  • Experience working in a consultancy environment
  • Strong technical knowledge of residential construction and cost planning

Nice to have:

Experience with valuation software such as KEL and Argus Developer
