Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager/Leader for an 8-month contract in Toronto. This role is a key leadership position within large-scale, multi-client initiatives involving complex network architecture, innovative Video over IP (VoIP), and advanced audio-visual (AV) systems. You will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of technically complex projects, from procurement and GUI design to onsite installation and final commissioning.

Job Responsibility:

Plan and lead concurrent I&IT and AV projects, developing project charters, master plans, and work breakdown schedules
Provide specialized expertise in Audio-Visual, Videoconferencing, and VoIP technologies
Ensure finalization of functional design drawings and onsite system installation
Coordinate I&IT procurement to negotiate and acquire hardware, software, and IP circuits
Manage external service providers and local trades
Identify and assess project risks, recommending mitigation strategies
Apply change management principles to facilitate business process shifts
Manage high-level client relationships and partnerships, providing advice for business cases and Treasury Board submissions
Develop test plans based on use cases, oversee system functionality testing, and manage the final client handover (Commissioning) and sign-off
Manage project budgets, refine cost estimates, and ensure fiscal accountability throughout the project lifecycle

Requirements:

At least 5 years of Audio-Visual/Videoconferencing technology experience
10 years of Project Management experience
Deep understanding of VoIP, Video over IP, building telecommunications infrastructure, and high-availability hosting solutions
Expert proficiency in Microsoft Project and the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Strong grasp of software development platforms, multi-tier models, and cloud technologies
Exceptional negotiation, conflict resolution, and presentation skills
Ability to translate complex technical issues for senior executive decision-making
Knowledge of technical standards and best practices for AV and IT deployment
