We are partnering with local developer in Hong Kong. They are seeking a highly experienced and commercially astute Deputy Project Director or Senior Project Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of a flagship overseas development project. Reporting directly to the senior management, you will be the key driver on the ground, ensuring the project meets all technical, financial, and quality specifications, delivered on time and within budget.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead the entire project life-cycle from pre-construction (design review, tender preparation) through to construction, commissioning, and final handover
  • Develop, maintain, and manage the integrated project master schedule, ensuring alignment across all design, procurement, and construction activities
  • Ensure all statutory and regulatory requirements in the host country are met and proactively managed
  • Manage project budgets, financial forecasts, and cash flow projections, implementing cost control measures throughout the project
  • Oversee contract administration, including managing claims, variations, and contract compliance
  • Conduct tender evaluations, contractor negotiations, and appointment procedures for key packages
  • Lead and mentor a multi-cultural site team, fostering a culture of safety, collaboration, and high performance
  • Provide timely, accurate, and comprehensive project progress reports (technical, financial, risk) to the Hong Kong headquarters and executive management
  • Proactively identify, analyze, and mitigate project risks (technical, commercial, political, and regulatory)

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years (for DPD) or 8 years (for SPM) of progressive experience in managing large-scale building/infrastructure projects, preferably within the property development or major construction sectors
  • Canidate with oversea project background is preferred
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, leadership skills
  • Good Command in English, Chinese (Cantonese + Mandarin)
  • Bachelor Degree
