Job Description:

At FloQast, design is a driving force behind our AI-powered Accounting Transformation Platform. Our vision is to create human-centered tools that act as intelligent partners that automate repetitive work, detect anomalies, and surface insights in real time to help accounting teams operate with clarity and precision. Product design shapes: 1) How complex data becomes intuitive 2) How AI becomes a trusted partner, and 3) How everyone from the accountant to the CFO feels empowered.

Job Responsibility:

Define strategy: Own the end-to-end design strategy for mission-critical feature areas within the FloQast platform from conception through launch and post-launch iteration
Design for AI: Translate complex AI capabilities and requirements into intuitive, trustworthy experiences
Drive design vision and roadmap: Partner closely with Product Management, Engineering, and Leadership to define product strategy
Elevate quality and consistency: Ensure your surfaces are polished, easy to use, visually delightful, and maintain a high standard of quality and consistency across our enterprise platform and design system
Champion user empathy: Conduct and leverage qualitative and quantitative data to ground design decisions, evaluate success, and advocate for the needs of accounting and finance professionals
Execute with velocity: Confidently own design execution in Figma, delivering concept designs, high-fidelity prototypes, and clear specifications to engineering partners
Lead and mentor: Act as a design leader within the team, bringing clarity and alignment across projects, and offering mentorship to junior designers

Requirements:

5+ years of professional experience designing and shipping high-quality, complex SaaS or enterprise products
Proven ability to lead the end-to-end design lifecycle for major initiatives, including the definition and execution of new features and products from 0-1
Expert-level proficiency with design and prototyping tools, particularly Figma
Experience contributing to robust design systems
Use of AI-powered tools (like Figma Make, ChatGPT/Gemini/Claude, and others) to accelerate knowledge, quality, collaboration, and delivery
Familiarity with the challenges and opportunities of designing AI-driven features
Strong strategic collaboration skills
Ability to articulate design rationale clearly and persuasively to product managers, engineers, and executive stakeholders
Ability to ground and validate design decisions by utilizing both qualitative user research and quantitative data
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Aptitude for tackling ambiguous problem spaces
