Job Responsibility:
Support the end-to-end RFP processes: define scope, prepare and issue RFPs/RFIs/RFQs, manage bidder communication, evaluate proposals, coordinate demos and scoring, and present recommendations to stakeholders
Execute sourcing strategies for fintech- and banking-related categories (SaaS platforms, payments processors, core banking systems, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, data analytics, KYC/AML vendors, consulting)
Collaborate with product, engineering, security, legal, compliance, vendor management and finance teams to capture requirements, technical/ regulatory constraints, and vendor risk expectations
Conduct supplier due diligence, capability assessments, financial stability checks, and compliance reviews
Negotiate commercial terms, pricing models, SLAs, and contracting terms
escalate complex legal or risk items to Vendor management/compliance team as needed
Manage the full purchase-to-pay (P2P) cycle, ensuring all Purchase Order (PO) requests are compliant, accurately costed, approved in a timely manner, and reconciled against invoices
Manage the contract management process, including negotiation of terms, execution, and maintaining a systematic contract archiving repository (CLM) for all agreements, amendments, and key documents
Create clear evaluation criteria, scoring matrices, and comparative analyses to support selection decisions and executive approvals
Maintain and improve procurement templates (RFPs, SOWs, NDAs, pricing schedules) and standardize vendor onboarding processes
Support vendor relationship management and performance reviews
identify opportunities for consolidation, optimization, or innovation
Ensure procurement activities align with organizational policies, data protection, and regulatory requirements relevant to financial services
Requirements:
Educational degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is required indicating advanced knowledge and skills in procurement and supply chain management
4+ years procurement or sourcing experience, preferably within fintech, banking, payments, or financial services
Experienced preparing cost comparisons, TCO models, and vendor scorecards
Experience producing RFP documents, executive summaries, and procurement reports
Experience leading complex RFPs for technology and service vendors
Strong negotiating skills and commercial acumen with experience structuring SaaS and services agreements
Fluent English proficiency is required to ensure effective communication in a global business environment
German language skills at a minimum of B2/C1 level are also required
Proactive and hands-on approach to addressing challenges and driving procurement initiatives
Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to secure favorable terms and build beneficial supplier relationships
Ability to understand and consider the perspectives of team members, suppliers, and internal stakeholders, fostering a positive working environment
