Job Description:

Senior, hands-on role working closely with service leads and corporate stakeholders to deliver high-quality Power BI solutions that support decision-making, service improvement, and organisational change. You will take ownership of Power BI development across multiple service areas, transforming complex data from a range of council systems into clear, meaningful insights. You will work across the organisation on high-impact projects, including organisational redesign and service transformation initiatives.

Job Responsibility:

  • Leading the design, development, and delivery of Power BI reports and dashboards
  • Translating complex business requirements into robust BI solutions
  • Working directly with senior stakeholders across council services and corporate functions
  • Extracting, modelling, and transforming data from multiple council systems
  • Supporting complex, multi-disciplinary projects that drive organisational and cultural change
  • Ensuring reporting outputs are delivered within agreed scope, quality, and budget
  • Producing and maintaining all required documentation

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience delivering Power BI solutions within Local Government
  • Strong hands-on Power BI development skills, including data modelling and DAX
  • Experience working with complex, multi-source public sector data
  • Proven ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders
  • Experience supporting large-scale transformation or organisational change programmes
  • Immediate or short-notice availability preferred
  • This role is only open to candidates with proven Local Government experience
