The Senior Manager Content SEO is responsible for defining and leading content-focused SEO strategies across the content journey. Working collaboratively with other team members, this role will help deliver a holistic search strategy that integrates content SEO, SEM, and technical page SEO to maximize organic and paid visibility, traffic, and user engagement. Working at the intersection of user needs and content strategy, this role ensures our digital content is optimized for search engines and AI-powered discovery. The Senior Manager SEO will lead a team of specialists, driving excellence in keyword research, content optimization and performance analytics.
Job Responsibility:
Develop and implement a unified search strategy that aligns content SEO, SEM, and technical SEO with digital goals, user needs, and emerging trends (including AI-powered search)
Collaborate cross-functionally with global marketing, paid media, and IT teams to ensure content is discoverable, relevant, and responsive to search intent across all user journey stages
Lead and mentor a team of content SEO specialists, translating insights from keyword research, paid campaign data, and technical audits into actionable recommendations
Continually audit and optimize content for on-page SEO best practices, including metadata, internal linking, structured data, and search intent alignment
Optimize content for AI-generated search environments (e.g., Google SGE, ChatGPT search), incorporating entity-based SEO, structured data, and conversational search strategies
Maintain performance frameworks, reporting dashboards and KPI tracking to monitor SEO content impact, drive continuous improvement, and communicate progress to stakeholders
Lead internal training and enablement initiatives to build awareness of evolving search behaviors and AI search trends across marketing, editorial, and product teams
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, life sciences, or a related field
Long-standing experience managing integrated SEO strategies with a strong focus on content performance and organic growth in a B2B or regulated industry
Deep understanding of search ranking factors, search algorithms, GEO (generative engine optimization), and AI-driven search trends, with experience balancing optimization and user needs
Proficiency with SEO tools such as SEOClarity, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and AI-assisted content optimization tools
Excellent communication skills, with fluency in spoken and written English
Highly collaborative and able to work across global, cross-functional teams and communicate SEO insights clearly to non-technical audiences
Skilled in building consensus and influencing stakeholders across global, matrixed environments
Ability to travel 10-15% of the time domestically and/or internationally as needed for conferences, team meetings, and workshops

Experience with enterprise content management systems (preferably Sitecore XP or XM Cloud) and digital content tools
