Job Description:

This is a senior technical leadership role within a rapidly growing SpaceTech organisation, responsible for the end-to-end performance of satellite payloads across a global fleet. You’ll lead a multidisciplinary engineering team and work at the intersection of space systems, AI, communications, and advanced analytics.

Job Responsibility:

  • End-to-end payload systems lifecycle: design, procurement, integration, testing & operations
  • Definition and validation of payload, RF, and TT&C requirements
  • Technical oversight of in-orbit payload performance and anomaly resolution
  • Supplier evaluations, RFI/RFPs, and technical negotiations
  • Payload optimisation for new missions and feasibility studies
  • Cross-functional collaboration with AI/ML, satellite engineering, operations & strategy teams
  • Executive-level reporting, lessons learned, and roadmap input
  • Team development with a focus on AI, analytics, and system integration

Requirements:

  • Degree in Electrical/Electronic, Aerospace, Computer Science or similar
  • 8-10+ years experience in satellite payload systems, communications, or mission operations
  • Strong background in RF, communications, and TT&C systems
  • Proven leadership of engineering teams and complex programs
  • Exposure to AI, advanced analytics, cloud or edge computing in space, telecom, or defence environments
  • Comfortable working with global stakeholders and regulatory frameworks
