Come and be part of our Churchill & Privilege Retail Pricing Team as a Pricing Analyst, helping shape great outcomes for our Home insurance customers. Job Responsibility:

  • Develop recommendations to improve DLG’s pricing performance and longer-term pricing capability, whilst maintaining underwriting discipline
  • Provide analytical support and insight to inform and influence business decisions and strategy, with a responsibility for ensuring robustness of output
  • Plan, manage and deliver specific tasks and projects in a pro-active, timely and accurate manner, providing insights, impacts and recommendations
  • lead specialised investigations, producing reports and presentations for internal stakeholders
  • Support the development of analysts
  • review work, provide feedback and create opportunities for learning in day to day activities
  • Maintain regulatory compliance, upholding governance standards and ensuring all activity meets FCA requirements
  • Collaborate across teams, sharing insights and supporting initiatives that drive pricing excellence
  • Identify opportunities for improvements to enable tasks to be performed in a more efficient manner
  • Challenge current processes appropriately with suggestions as to how these can be refined
  • Mentoring of more junior members of the team, helping them with their work and developing their analytical skillset
  • Working with them to help shape their future career, identifying areas of development needed and assisting them in reaching their goals

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a general insurance analytical role or equivalent experience in another industry
  • Educated to at least degree level or equivalent in a numerically-focussed degree
  • Excellent problem solving skills, with an ability to consider multiple scenarios and anticipate outcomes for our customers
  • An effective communicator at all levels and be able to demonstrate strong relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills
  • A good team player but also be able to use your own initiative and be able to progress work independently

Nice to have:

  • Previous experience of the personal lines insurance market is desirable
  • Experience of using SQL, Tableau and RADAR ideal but not essential
