Job Description:

Embark on a transformative journey as a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer – Securitized Products Trading. At Barclays, our vision is clear –to redefine the future of banking and help craft innovative solutions. In this role, you will play an important part in the expansion of the Securitized Products area. You will work directly with trading and sales and will be part of a high performing team. Our team implements a best-in-class platform for all Securitized Products business workflows using a combination of Angular, Java and other technologies.

Job Responsibility:

  • Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance
  • Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives
  • Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing
  • Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth
  • Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions
  • Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability

Requirements:

  • Expertise as a programmer with a passion for clean, efficient code using Object Oriented Design principals
  • Significant experience creating real time systems using Angular and Web Sockets
  • Experience developing with Java on AWS, ECS, EKS, CloudWatch, Kafka
  • Experience interacting comfortably with Front Office users to gather requirements and present solutions
  • Ability and insight to design and implement intuitive UI screens

Nice to have:

  • Experience working with state management technology such as Redux
  • Experience with frameworks such as Springboot
  • Familiarity with Mongo DB
  • Interest in developing a deep understanding of the Securitized Products business
