Job Description:

The senior full stack engineer will lead and grow the Global FIX and Client Connectivity practice in the Americas region while focusing on implementing modern technologies such as infrastructure as code, containerization, and microservices to ensure operational excellence. Candidates should have strong experience in production support, Java development, exposure to Equity markets, FIX protocol, Agile methodology, and real-time server development. They will directly collaborate with trading desks and other global offices, fostering change and innovation within the team and organization.

Job Responsibility:

Lead and grow the Global FIX and Client Connectivity practice in the Americas region
Establish direct relationships with trading desks and technology teams
Implement infrastructure as code, containerization, microservices, and cloud infrastructure
Ensure stability and control of production platforms
Challenge existing processes and enable consistent small gains
Coordinate and run complex operational incidents
Drive the evolution of teams and technology.

Requirements:

Experience in production support or Business Analyst roles with a technical background
Comfortable with coding languages such as Java
Understanding of software development lifecycles and modern software delivery principles
Knowledge of Agile methodology
Exposure to Equity markets in a sell-side Front Office environment
Hands-on experience with development and design in core Java
Familiarity with real-time server development in a multi-threaded asynchronous system environment
Strong familiarity with the FIX protocol
Experience using OMS/EMS and Cash Equities
Exposure to various Exchanges/Market connectivity and trading workflows
Ability to work effectively with the trading desk
Flexibility to support the trading desk including early morning rota
Familiarity with client on-boarding and FIX certification
Experience interacting with external clients and FIX vendors
Expertise in triaging and resolving production issues effectively.
