Job Description:

Purpose of the Job: This role involves coordinating shipments, optimizing logistics processes, and managing relationships with carriers and vendors. Senior Freight Operations Supervisor ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, monitors performance metrics, and resolves operational issues to maintain high service quality, By leading and mentoring the operations team.

Job Responsibility:

  • Facilitate communication between internal teams and external partners
  • Ensure proper documentation for all freight transactions and shipments
  • Monitor and enforce safety standards within the freight operations team
  • Lead projects aimed at improving operational efficiency and service quality
  • Oversee daily freight operations, ensuring timely and efficient shipment processing

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in freight operations or logistics management
  • Strong understanding of freight forwarding and transportation regulations
  • Proven experience managing carrier relationships and negotiations
  • Familiarity with Logistics management software and warehouse management systems
  • Experience with budget management and cost optimization in freight operations
  • Strong analytical skills for performance monitoring and reporting
  • Knowledge of customs processes and international shipping practices
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for data analysis
  • Experience in training and developing team members
