Job Description:

This Italian-owned consultancy has over 40 fire professionals in its headquarters and is now expanding its presence in the UK and looking for a Senior Fire Safety Consultant to play a pivotal role in the London growth. The successful Senior Fire Safety Consultant will be working closely with one other consultant in London, delivering passive fire solutions across residential, commercial, and industrial sectors.

Job Responsibility:

  • Providing expert guidance on passive fire protection, ensuring compliance with UK fire safety regulations
  • Conducting fire risk assessments and developing fire strategies
  • Carrying out structural fire resistance assessments of concrete, steel, and timber structures
  • Advising on passive fire protection, including fire-stopping, compartmentation, intumescent coatings, and fire boarding
  • Ensuring designs align with UK and European fire safety standards
  • Collaborating with architects, engineers, and project teams to provide technical expertise
  • Supporting the growth of the London office and contributing to the company’s expansion in the UK

Requirements:

  • A degree in Fire Engineering or a related discipline
  • Membership with the IFE
  • Working towards Chartership
  • Experience in fire safety consultancy, passive fire protection, or fire strategy development
  • Strong knowledge of UK fire safety regulations, including Approved Document B, BS 9999, and Eurocodes
  • A proactive approach, with the ability to work independently in a small but growing team
  • Willingness to travel within the UK and occasionally to Italy for collaboration with the wider team
