Job Description:

The Senior Financial Reporting Analyst is responsible for managing key financial and regulatory reporting processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. The role also involves managing controls, supporting audits, and collaborating with diverse stakeholders to resolve issues and enhance processes.

Job Responsibility:

Provide the necessary support and oversight on all local financial and regulatory reporting within the country
Support preparation of key reports to various governance forums including board of directors, Executive Management, Citi group governance committees etc.
Manage and control data flows to and within Finance applications to ensure integrity and completeness of data
Take responsibility for the accurate reporting of accounting reconciliations on Citi reporting tools
Review and examine key controls for accounting process within the process handled
Resolve complex problems or transactions by interpreting policies and guidelines
Partner with stakeholders to communicate progress on assigned processes
Highlight and escalate potential issues with stakeholders and work for resolution
Ensure independent controls and a robust control environment over reporting
Support audits, tax compliance, and periodic reporting processes
Assist with the management of processes, reports, and procedures
Support the development of process efficiencies and improvements
Operate with a limited level of direct supervision.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s/University degree in accounting/finance/economics or equivalent
Chartered Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, CA Zambia)
Msc/MBA in Finance, Business Administration, Economics added advantage
Must be a fully paid up ZICA member
5-8 years of experience in finance/accounting preferably in a financial institution and/or accounting firm with commensurate stakeholder management experience.
