Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join our client's team in Columbia, Maryland. In this role, you will play a critical part in managing forecasts, budgets, and financial reporting while driving process improvements and supporting key decision-making initiatives. This position offers an opportunity to collaborate with leadership and contribute to the organization's financial success.

Job Responsibility:

Prepare and oversee monthly forecasts and budgets for operational expenses and workforce planning
Develop comprehensive monthly reporting packages and present findings to leadership teams and budget stakeholders
Conduct detailed analyses of key balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy and sufficiency
Track and assess sample and travel expenditures to align with budgetary and compliance standards
Serve as the primary point of contact with Corporate Accounting to ensure accurate setup and timely reporting of accounting master data
Create and monitor cost KPIs while identifying opportunities for savings and efficiency initiatives
Drive process improvements through enhanced cost analytics and collaboration with department and regional leaders
Provide strategic decision-making support and evaluate organizational structures and initiatives
Lead data collection, analysis, and reporting efforts for the annual insurance renewal process
Prepare ad hoc financial analyses to support finance and operational teams

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
5-7 years of experience in financial analysis, including budgeting and forecasting, with attention to detail
Proficiency in analyzing financial data and presenting findings effectively to senior management
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
Demonstrated ability to create and work with complex financial models
Strong organizational skills to meet reporting deadlines and manage multiple priorities
Ability to work in a hybrid environment as required
Familiarity with accounting software and systems, with a focus on ensuring data accuracy and timely reporting
