Job Description:

MATTE is looking for a Senior Experiential Designer to join its fast-growing Creative department. The Senior Experiential Designer will be responsible for leading high-end experiential designs on a variety of clients. The role is responsible for conceptualizing and translating strategies into compelling, and integrated designs within a built environment. This position will carry a project from the creative and strategic approach to the actual production.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead and shepherd creative from concept stages through to production
  • Guarantee projects meet our standards

Requirements:

  • Lead high-end experiential designs
  • Conceptualize and translate strategies into compelling, integrated designs within a built environment
  • Lead aspects of experiential production design from green light through delivery
  • Responsible for leading environmental design on assigned projects (creative conception, moodboards, floorplans, renderings, environmental graphics, construction/technical documentation)
  • Work on multiple projects in various capacities, meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Lead and shepherd creative from concept through production
  • Work closely with outside vendors (animators, lighting designers, sound designers) to conceptualize and guide specialty design
  • Liaise with creative team and producers to translate renderings and 3D designs into technical drawings using CAD software
  • Provide layered plans to vendors
  • Combine and maintain technical drawings for review
  • Make adjustments based on feedback
  • Provide plans to vendors for bidding
  • Provide creative and logical budget solutions
  • Manage direct client contact
  • Represent MATTE from a design POV
  • Assist with execution of art direction
  • Offer new angles, best practices, and practical solutions
  • Be responsible for setting up a training framework and documentation
  • High level knowledge of build, construction, materials
  • Maintain block library and assets
  • Visit venues in advance
  • Identify bottlenecks and improve drawing workflow
  • Collaborate with Experiential Creative Director
  • Work with client brand guidelines
  • Create and maintain consistent, high-level visuals, standards, and specifications
  • Work strategically with internal teams to build, maintain, and improve processes
