Job Description:

At AKQA, our Experience Design discipline sets the standard for innovation, creativity, and craft. As a Senior Experience Designer, you’ll help define the next generation of courageous digital experiences, how they work, why they matter, and the impact they deliver for users and brands alike. You’ll bring clarity to complexity, combining empathy with logic, curiosity with rigour, and creativity with precision. In this role, you will collaborate closely with UX designers, strategists, technologists, and delivery teams to turn insight into visually striking, human-centred experiences. You’ll map user journeys, design wireframes and prototypes, facilitate workshops, and test solutions that balance user needs, business goals, and technical feasibility. You’ll champion user advocacy at every stage of the design process, bringing structure to ambiguity and guiding multidisciplinary teams toward exceptional outcomes. At AKQA, you’ll be part of a multidisciplinary team united by purpose, craft, and curiosity, working in an inclusive and forward-thinking environment. Our hybrid in-studio/WFH model supports creativity, balance, and flexibility.

Job Responsibility:

  • Design for clarity, creating user journeys, flows, sitemaps, wireframes, and prototypes that turn complexity into simplicity
  • Solve real problems by grounding solutions in user insight, data, and business objectives
  • Champion the human perspective, ensuring accessibility, inclusivity, and empathy are embedded in every design
  • Prototype and test ideas rapidly using tools such as Figma, InVision, and other research platforms, iterating based on feedback and findings
  • Collaborate seamlessly with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams in agile, sprint-based environments
  • Present and articulate your design decisions with clarity and confidence to internal teams and clients
  • Stay curious and inspired by evolving design, technology, and human behaviour trends

Requirements:

  • Proven UX design experience with a portfolio showcasing user journeys, wireframes, and prototypes
  • Strong grasp of user-centred design and human behaviour across digital platforms
  • Skilled in user research, workshops, and shaping solutions
  • Familiar with design systems and scalable component-based thinking
  • Proficient in Figma and modern UX/prototyping tools
  • Experienced in agile, cross-functional collaboration
  • Excellent communication and storytelling, with a collaborative, growth-oriented mindset
