AMD India (SPSE) is looking for a strong Manager to lead an Embedded Software DevSecOps engineering team to lead and deliver modular, quality oriented, and extensible FW infrastructure. It involves managing resources effectively to deliver commitment on schedule. Cultivate a high performing team and constantly raise the bar. Ability to attract, groom and retain top talent is a must.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead an Embedded Software DevSecOps engineering team to lead and deliver modular, quality oriented, and extensible FW infrastructure
  • Managing resources effectively to deliver commitment on schedule
  • Cultivate a high performing team and constantly raise the bar
  • Closely collaborate with peer development teams, architecture, customer support and product line management
  • Contribute to the vision and strategy of continuous integration, improved development processes, quality and productivity improvements
  • Lead end-to-end DevOps programs from planning through execution, ensuring alignment with business goals
  • Design and implement secure CI/CD pipelines across cloud, hybrid, and on-prem environments
  • Review technical designs and pipeline code for security, scalability, and reliability
  • Establish monitoring and observability frameworks to track performance, adoption, and security posture
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks and process inefficiencies across teams
  • Coach engineering teams on secure development practices, automation, and operational excellence
  • Drive incremental rollout of tooling and automation to maximize adoption and minimize friction
  • Collaborate with leadership to define roadmaps, milestones, and impact metrics
  • Owner of the Embedded software DevSecOps engineering teams and QA for all new and sustaining AMD EPYC Server, DC GPU Products
  • Responsible for people management, technical growth, career growth and Mentoring team members
  • Responsible for partnering leveraging the all the validation work done by Core engineering in Client and Server teams, with a strong focus on enabling differentiating features for the success of Embedded Business
  • Create schedule for overall DevOps, Pipeline enablement, and delivery plan for AMD Datacenter Platforms working with peer development managers
  • Influence and support software engineers with design reviews, code reviews, and licensing reviews for open source as well as closed source code offerings

Requirements:

  • 15+ years (or more) of overall relevant industry experience and a track record of shipping server/storage/networking products for the enterprise, cloud data center and service provider markets
  • Prior experience in customer-facing / applications engineering role will be a big plus
  • At least 5 years of experience as a first/second-line manager leading the development of embedded software
  • Deep understanding of full product life cycle, software development methods (both Agile and Waterfall), and development and build environments
  • Ability to undertake loosely defined goals or complex problems to create order, and drive closure
  • Ability to organize, delegate, and effectively deliver to large and complex programs
  • Ability to drive multi-geo projects by working effectively with remote teams
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, highly dynamic environment, with a bias towards action and results
  • Manage major software release deliveries as a release manager
  • Conflict resolution skills including ability to bridge style difference
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, listening, and written communication skills, both within the team and across the organization
  • Ability to mentor/coach/teach/facilitate and lead change in a highly technical/dynamic team
  • Tech/B.E in CS/EC or EE
  • Extensive experience in software engineering, DevOps, or platform engineering (10+ years), with at least 5 years in technical leadership & management
  • Hands-on expertise in CI/CD pipeline design and implementation across diverse environments
  • Strong knowledge of modern CI/CD systems (GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
  • Practical experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), Kubernetes, container security, and identity/access management
  • Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk)
  • Proven ability to drive cross-functional programs at scale in a fast-paced environment, manage dependencies, and mitigate technical risks
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence engineers and leaders through technical credibility and data-driven insights
