Job Description:

Lead the group responsible for the technology platform that powers Epidemic Sound's backend services. Blend of people leadership, technical strategy, and internal product management. Lead team of six experienced engineers, including Staff Engineer. Own critical infrastructure such as API frameworks, authentication systems, CDN, caching, and Go-based service templates.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage and mentor team of experienced engineers
  • Act as product owner for platform
  • Navigate wider organization to influence other teams
  • Provide technical perspective and guidance

Requirements:

  • Experienced leader
  • Solid grasp of modern engineering platform
  • Background in building or managing platforms and service architectures
  • Product mindset
  • Comfortable operating outside the immediate team
  • Understand modern software engineering practices
  • Familiar with challenges of maintaining and evolving cloud-based infrastructure

Nice to have:

  • Experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
