Job Description:

Senior Distribution Electrical Engineer (PE) position in the Utilities division, providing full-service electrical, civil, and structural engineering services to support electric and gas utilities nationwide, as well as wind farms, renewables, data centers, transmission systems, and university and industrial facilities.

Job Responsibility:

  • Execute complex designs for overhead and underground power installations
  • Coordinate design activities to ensure installation and operations comply with specifications, codes, and client requirements
  • Work on challenging assignments that include investigating, troubleshooting, and solving a wide variety of overhead/underground distribution engineering and constructability related issues
  • Lead projects
  • Ensure projects are completed satisfactorily, on time, and within budget
  • Perform independent reviews of work performed by others including calculations and drawing preparation
  • Assist in the preparation and review of proposals and cost estimates
  • Communicate and coordinate project activities with internal team members and clients
  • Build strong relationships and maintain a focus on superior client service
  • Act as a mentor for team members and aid in their professional development

Requirements:

  • Licensed professional engineer
  • At least eight years of electrical distribution design experience
  • Comprehensive understanding of Utilities design processes from concept through construction
  • Strong knowledge of industry codes and standards
  • Bachelor’s in electrical engineering
  • Ability to interface and collaborate effectively with clients, employees, and the management team
  • Strong organization and communication skills
  • Demonstrated leadership experience
  • Technical capability to meet the position requirements
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, MicroStation and/or Asset Suite is a plus
