Job Description:

At Degreed, we’re on a journey to modernize and scale our platform—and we’re looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer who thrives in Azure environments and brings hands-on experience with Kubernetes, CI/CD and Terraform. This is a high-impact role where you’ll help lead key initiatives to improve reliability, performance, and developer experience as we continue migrating toward container-based services.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead and contribute to Infrastructure as Code initiatives using Terraform
  • Help define and improve our cloud infrastructure on Azure
  • Work closely with engineering teams to streamline deployments and build robust CI/CD pipelines
  • Support our shift toward containerization (e.g. Kubernetes)
  • Collaborate with teams across the business to support growth, scalability, and automation
  • Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to support uptime and stability

Requirements:

  • Strong experience with Azure cloud infrastructure in a production environment
  • Solid knowledge of Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices
  • Experience with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) and CI/CD tools
  • Extensive hands-on knowledge of Kubernetes and its ecosystem
  • Expertise with the latest CI/CD tools such as GHA, Azure Devops, ArgoCD, FluxCD etc.
  • Well-versed in the principles of cloud security, with a practical mindset toward secure infrastructure design
  • Comfortable working remotely and asynchronously with distributed teams
  • A collaborative mindset and a willingness to learn and share knowledge
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in DevOps/SRE or similar roles
