Job Description:

Senior Data Engineering Consultant required by a fast-growing boutique consultancy. This is a superb opportunity to join a specialist Data & Insights Practice and play a key role where you will lead, design and deliver data projects for a range of clients, whilst still applying your hands-on data engineering skills.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead, design and deliver data projects for a range of clients
  • Utilise blend of functional and technical skills to implement end-to-end reporting, analytics and data solutions
  • Lead exciting and complex projects
  • Take ownership of deliveries
  • Gathering requirements, understanding business problems, designing and building solutions, reporting and analysis through to go-live and training
  • Engaging with customer stakeholders, forging strong relationships and capturing requirements
  • Designing and building technical data solutions using a variety of different data tools and platforms
  • Consulting with clients on the best approach and most suitable data technologies
  • Leading projects, delivery and documentation
  • Using hands-on technical skills to write code, build and deploy solutions
  • Managing and mentoring junior consultants on deliveries

Requirements:

  • Data Consultant or Data Engineer with strong hands-on technical skills in areas such as data modelling
  • Track record of leading the design and delivery of data solutions
  • Strong blend of technical and functional experience
  • Ideally operated within a client-facing/consultancy environment
  • Experience of leading projects
  • Hands-on technical skillset spanning data engineering, modelling, integration and migration
  • Adaptable and able to work with different tools and technologies
  • General IT architecture and systems integration
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to engage and manage client stakeholders

Nice to have:

  • Experience in Oracle OBIEE and/or Oracle Analytics Cloud
  • Other technologies such as Azure Data Factory, RedShift, Informatica, Qlik or similar
