Job Description:

Inetum, a European leader in digital services, is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join their Lisbon office in Portugal. The role involves exploring, cleaning, and analyzing complex datasets; designing and optimizing scalable data pipelines; and automating artifact releases. The ideal candidate has B2-level English proficiency, strong SQL and Python skills, and expertise in ETL processes, programming languages, and the software development cycle. Job Responsibility:

explore, clean, and analyze large and complex datasets to support business objectives
design and implement scalable data processing to handle large volumes of data efficiently and effectively
optimize and fine-tune these pipelines for performance and reliability
collaborate with other data engineers, data analysts, and business stakeholders to identify and define use cases, formulate hypotheses, and design solution
design high-performance data pipelines
participate in project code reviews
automate the end-to-end release of artifacts across environments
conduct daily ETL job checks and take the necessary actions with production & functional support teams
contribute to the integrity of the infrastructure setup

Requirements:

English level: B2
SQL
Python
solid knowledge and hands-on experience with programming languages
ETL processes
deep understanding of the software development cycle

strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically, analyze complex problems, and derive actionable insight from data
written and verbal communication skills
ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and collaborate with individuals from diverse backgrounds and areas of expertise
