Job Description:

We are seeking a sharp Senior Data Analyst to join our Data & ML team, supporting Finance. This role is critical for driving Checkr’s financial strategy and operational efficiency. You will be the go-to expert for building reliable data models / systems, rigorous analysis, and delivering data-driven recommendations that guide our financial planning and business performance evaluation. By translating complex data into clear insights, you will have a direct impact on Checkr's profitability and long-term financial health.

Job Responsibility:

Develop and maintain core financial data models / reporting to track revenue, costs, and key business metrics
Conduct deep-dive analyses into business trends, unit economics, and pricing strategies to identify opportunities for growth and efficiency improvements
Design, build, and maintain data models and pipelines in our business intelligence stack to ensure accurate and timely data for financial analysis
Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Finance leadership to inform business strategy, product pricing, and operational investments with robust data insights
Build and automate reporting that provides continuous insights to the business, empowering stakeholders with self-serve data

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field like Finance, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
5+ years of hands-on experience in data analysis, data science, revenue analytics, or a related quantitative role, preferably within a finance, fintech, and/or SaaS environment
A strong command of SQL and a modern data stack (e.g. dbt)
A foundation in statistical analysis and data modeling techniques
Proven track record of translating complex business questions into well-defined analytical projects and delivering actionable insights
Rigorous communication and stakeholder management skills
capable of explaining quantitative concepts to non-technical audiences
A meticulous, detail-oriented mindset with a passion for solving ambiguous problems
