Job Description:

We're looking for a senior content designer to help create exceptional experiences that will transform the way Atlassian supports our thousands of global customers. The IT Ops group in India is one of the fastest-growing Atlassian product groups with the charter to empower Ops teams (Dev, IT, Engg) to collaborate at high velocity.

Job Responsibility:

  • Help establish the role and impact of content design as part of the IT Ops team, connecting craft best practices and impactful ways of working to shape the overall content strategy direction and delivery
  • Experiment with different approaches to information in the UI, documentation, support materials, and anywhere our customers seek information
  • Work directly with product managers, engineers, and product designers to improve the way customers experience their entire Atlassian products journey, and provide scalable ideas for making the experience awesome
  • Consider the overall Atlassian customer lifecycle using a content design lens, and strive to close loops to ensure smooth experiences through awesome information design
  • Apply Atlassian content standards that are effective, accessible, and inclusive while guiding others to value world-class content outputs and hold a high bar
  • Demonstrate storytelling skills that we will ask you to show us in a portfolio review where you will share how you solved customer problems through effective content design methodologies and techniques that delivered impact
  • Become part of a vibrant and talented content design craft community from all over the world

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of UX writing/content design experience
  • Background in structured content and content modeling
  • Facilitation, communication, and collaboration abilities with senior stakeholders across the org
  • Experience moving fluidly between high-level content strategy practices and hands-on writing tasks
  • Familiarity with using Confluence and Figma (or similar tooling) to create content design concepts and co-design your work with craft partners
  • Ability to apply research and data insights to your content, and set up ongoing testing and assessment as you iterate and improve the work
  • Skills in planning, prioritizing, and carrying out complex projects with high attention to detail along the way
  • Have incredible communication skills and a commitment to building great working relationships across the globe
