Job Description:

A Senior Clinical Negligence Solicitor is wanted for an excellent opportunity with a national, Legal 500 law firm based in Manchester. Salary is negotiable depending on experience. The successful Solicitor will join an award winning team led by top ranked individuals recognised by the Legal 500 as leaders in their field. The team is renowned for its expertise acting on behalf of claimants in clinical negligence claims.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage Clinical Negligence claims of the highest value, in particular catastrophic birth injuries and child brain injuries
  • Lead on cases with assistance from a team of clinical negligence lawyers

Requirements:

  • Grade A Solicitors with significant experience managing high value Clinical Negligence cases
  • Strong supervisory skills
  • Excellent client care and interpersonal skills

  • Qualified Solicitor with at least 4 years’ post-qualification experience
  • Strong experience managing clinical negligence matters on behalf of defendants (or complex claimant-side experience with a willingness to transition)
  • Excellent knowledge of the CPR and solid technical legal skills
  • Strong advocacy and case management experience
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines, meet financial targets and deliver results
  • Team-oriented, self-motivated and capable of working autonomously when required
  • Experience mentoring or supervising junior team members is advantageous

  • Support junior team members and contribute to internal and external training and networking activities
  • Achieve billing and chargeable targets while maintaining exceptional client service standards
