Job Description:

BSP Consulting has an immediate vacancy for a Senior Civil Engineer Derby, to work within our experienced civil engineering design team. The team works for clients throughout the East Midlands and United Kingdom. Designs range from multi-storey structures to small housing schemes and range in construction value from £250,000 to £30M. Many projects are undertaken to BIM level 2. Design works are undertaken using Microdrainage, InfoDrainage, Civil3D and PDS industry standard software with final drawings produced in AutoCAD.

Job Responsibility:

  • Design and drafting of SuDS schemes, private external works, Section 38 and Section 104 works for adoption
  • Design and drafting of civil engineering works across sectors including residential, industrial, commercial and more
  • Deputising for the team leader regarding the planning and organisation of tasks, people and resources to deliver projects on time and in accordance with the current design guidelines

Requirements:

  • Specific experience in the use of AutoCAD for technical drawing
  • A strong background of Degree level Civil Engineering and a logical analytical approach to problem solving
  • Civil3D or PDS, InfoDrainage or MicroDrainage software experience
  • Knowledge of the construction industry and basic health and safety
  • Three to five years’ post graduate experience
  • Qualified as noted above
  • Computer literate, being fully competent in the use of Word and Excel
