Are you an experienced Senior Care Assistant looking to take the next step in your career? We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join a busy residential care home in Washington. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of older people while working in a supportive and professional environment. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring residents receive person-centred care that enhances their wellbeing. You will be responsible for supporting and supervising the care team during night shifts, ensuring the smooth running of the service and maintaining compliance with CQC standards.

Job Responsibility:

  • Ensuring residents’ wishes and preferences are at the heart of care delivery
  • Supervising care staff and leading by example to promote best practices
  • Overseeing medication management and maintaining accurate records
  • Working collaboratively with healthcare professionals and families
  • Promoting and safeguarding the welfare of all residents

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Senior Care Assistant or Care Team Leader
  • Knowledge of medication administration and CQC compliance
  • A commitment to ongoing personal and professional development
  • Compassion, reliability, and the ability to work well as part of a team
  • Relevant health and social care qualifications (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) are highly desirable

  • To report and record in the appropriate manner any information considered to be important. Read and write reports in an accurate and timely fashion using the computer systems
  • To deal with any queries or worries expressed by residents/relatives/visitors and forward on to senior managers if unable to resolve
