Job Description:

Senior level position responsible for establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective is to lead applications systems analysis and programming activities.

Job Responsibility:

Partner with multiple management teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals
Identify and define necessary system enhancements to deploy new products and process improvements
Resolve variety of high impact problems/projects through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards
Provide expertise in area and advanced knowledge of applications programming and ensure application design adheres to the overall architecture blueprint
Utilize advanced knowledge of system flow and develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation
Develop comprehensive knowledge of how areas of business integrate to accomplish business goals
Provide in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define issues and develop innovative solutions
Serve as advisor or coach to mid-level developers and analysts, allocating work as necessary
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup

Requirements:

8+ years of hands-on experience in C++ development in Linux environment
3+ years of experience in Python 3.x development
Extensive practical experience with C++ development including Object Oriented Programming and Design Patterns
Strong knowledge in Socket programming, Stream/Batch processing, API Development, Multi-threading
Expert in Python 3.x, Strong in multi-process, multi-threaded, and async application design (multiprocessing, threading, asyncio)
Experience with high-performance data processing using NumPy, Pandas, and vectorized operations
Skilled in Flask, FastAPI, or Django for production-grade services
Knowledge on Test Driven Development
Familiarity with Linux environment including scripting skills
Cloud-native deployment (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS/GCP/Azure)
SDLC/Dev Ops - Git/BitBucket, CI/CD pipeline frameworks such as Jenkins, SonarQube, JIRA, Any secure coding toolkits
Experience re-engineering large monolithic applications to microservices
Experience working in Containerization Platform Openshift/Kubernetes, Hybrid cloud, Messaging and Event Streaming Platform like Kafka, Solace or RabbitMQ
Experience in any NoSQL DB Preferably MongoDB
Knowledge of distributed cache like Apache Ignite or Hazelcast
Experience with Credit/Market Risk is a significant advantage
Experience in managing and implementing successful projects
Subject Matter Expert (SME) in at least one area of Applications Development
Ability to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate
Demonstrated leadership and project management skills
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
Master's degree preferred
