Job Description:

You will be an integral part of the Avionics, Guidance, Navigation & Control (AGNC) department, specifically the Avionics Hardware team, that designs and integrates Avionics on our launch vehicle. Your day-to-day job will include working on the Power System of Spectrum, as well as maintaining associated power system interfaces. You will take ownership of Spectrum’s Avionics Li-Ion Batteries which will include developing, integrating and testing. Interdisciplinary tasks and fast paced R&D are your daily business, and you thrive in that kind of environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Be the product owner of Spectrum’s Avionics Li-Ion Batteries
  • Own all interfaces of your product across its lifecycle, from design to manufacturing to verification and integration, including all technical and programmatic interfaces
  • Take on unit level tasks including design, qualification & acceptance testing, as well as integration and return analysis
  • Support vehicle integration and testing, both in Germany and on the launch pad
  • Maintain, challenge and verify Power System requirements
  • Build up and maintain automated qualification & acceptance testing infrastructure for the Power System and FTS components
  • Be the product owner of the battery testrig

Requirements:

  • BSc/MSc in Electrical Engineering, Energy Science and Technology or comparable
  • 5+ years of working experience with complex PCBs and Electronic Units and Li ion batteries
  • Excellent knowledge of circuit theory, electronics, signal processing and power electronics
  • Extensive experience in E-CAD tools (Schematic & Layout Design), preferably Altium Designer
  • Extensive knowledge of semiconductors and solid-state power controllers
  • Excellent knowledge of Li-Ion battery system technology and state-of-the-art cell chemistries
  • Excellent experience in Li-Ion battery pack design and relevant battery testing
  • Hands on mentality and can-do attitude
  • Fluent in spoken and written English

Nice to have:
