The Senior Apigee Developer role involves designing and implementing secure APIs using Google Apigee and GCP services. Candidates should have over 5 years of experience in API proxy design and serverless development. Strong knowledge of API security standards is essential. Job Responsibility:
Design and implement secure, scalable API proxies using Google Apigee
Manage AI traffic quotas and gateway controls for Vertex AI integrations
Develop serverless extensions using Google Cloud Run and related GCP services
Orchestrate complex API workflows integrating multiple systems and GCP products (BigQuery, Vertex AI, Cloud Run, etc.)
Analyze API traffic and usage patterns using BigQuery
Build and maintain API catalogs using Apigee API Hub
Develop complex integration flows and data transformations using MuleSoft (DataWeave)
Implement and enforce API security standards including OAuth 2.0 and OIDC
Develop automation scripts and support CI/CD pipelines for API deployments
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high availability, performance, and governance of APIs
Requirements:
5+ years of hands-on experience with Google Apigee (Proxy Design and Policy Implementation)
Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform services, including: Cloud Run, Vertex AI, BigQuery
1+ year of hands-on experience with MuleSoft, including DataWeave transformations
Strong understanding of API security standards (OAuth 2.0, OIDC)
Experience implementing CI/CD automation for API lifecycle management
Proficiency in Python and/or JavaScript for scripting and policy development
Experience designing and integrating secure enterprise API architecture
Nice to have:
Knowledge of API governance and lifecycle management
Familiarity with DevOps practices and infrastructure automation
