The Mission of the AOCS Software & GNC Engineer is to ensure our satellites reliably point perfectly for maximum revenue. This role is about guaranteeing our satellites can take high-quality images whenever and wherever they are needed. By designing and maintaining reliable, fault-tolerant attitude control software, you will directly increase the time our satellites are operational and available to our customers. Ultimately, your work makes our imaging products more valuable. Your expertise in steering and stabilizing the spacecraft ensures we capture the sharpest data, which drives customer satisfaction and allows us to deliver on our most critical missions.
Job Responsibility:
Ensure satellites reliably point perfectly for maximum revenue
Guarantee satellites can take high-quality images whenever and wherever needed
Design and maintain reliable, fault-tolerant attitude control software
Increase satellite operational and available time
Optimize satellite agility and pointing accuracy
Make ADCS domain knowledge and metrics transparent and accessible
Maintain a maintainable codebase
Simplify where possible
Requirements:
Thinking from a first-principles mindset
Proven track record designing and deploying attitude control systems for spacecrafts or drones (spacecrafts are preferred)
Strong understanding of Control theory fundamentals
Strong understanding of Kalman filtering techniques
Production-grade coding skills in Simulink or C/C++ plus solid CI/CD habits and test-driven mindset
