Job Description:

Our Bolt Engineering teams are building the backbone that powers Bolt’s mobile applications. We’re seeking a talented Senior Android Engineer to join forces with us and play an important role in shaping our Android platform. As an Android Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying mobile solutions that improve our ride hailing functionality. Mobile engineers at Bolt usually get onboarded to back-end as well within their first year, so this could be a great opportunity if you are keen to grow as a full-stack engineer. All engineers at Bolt have a heavy inclination towards product thinking, so you will get a chance to shape up and drive exciting product initiatives yourself, in partnership with your Product Manager and the rest of the team!

Job Responsibility:

Designing, developing, A/B testing and deploying solutions that improve our user journey
Working closely with back-end engineers to define and implement API integrations for micro-mobility-related business logic
Testing your solutions thoroughly to make sure they meet their intended goals
Building a deep understanding of our products and of the way they impact the business metrics and end users
Leading feature developments from idea to the point where they bring positive, validated impact to the end users

Requirements:

You are great at making data-driven decisions that positively impact the business
You have a drive for leading initiatives and features till the end
You have experience testing and releasing mobile changes while ensuring their quality across multiple Android versions
You have experience with unit testing and automation testing frameworks
You have strong principles towards writing clean, simple, secure, and maintainable code
You possess a solid understanding of algorithms and data structures

Nice to have:

Experience in product companies with a bias for properly experimenting their product hypotheses is a plus
