The Middle Office group is a part of larger FinOps department and is responsible for securities and transaction Management across all asset classes. The group ensures that all client transactions are booked into Arcesium platform, and any exception is addressed actively. The group is also responsible for Asset Servicing (coupons, paydowns, expiries, etc.) and Corporate Action management across various financial instruments. The group also works on managing the Reference and Static data on Arcesium platform. The group members collaborate with multiple internal and external stakeholders to ensure that all transaction and security data on Arcesium platform results in correct and expected P&L.
Job Responsibility:
Own timely and accurate delivery of daily and monthly middle office operations, proactively identifying and resolving issues to ensure seamless trade lifecycle management and operational excellence
Manage investment product setup and maintenance by creating, updating, and reviewing investment products in the firm's database and trading universe, ensuring data integrity and trading readiness
Support front office operations by processing and reviewing trades not booked by the desk, validating trade economics, and responding to P&L queries from investment managers with detailed analysis and resolution
Coordinate cross-functionally with Trade Accounting and Operations teams to ensure trade confirmations and settlements are completed in accordance with firm policies and client requirements, escalating exceptions as needed
Partner with technology and product teams on platform enhancements, special projects, bespoke reporting requirements, and UAT testing of new functionalities to drive continuous improvement
Lead client onboarding initiatives to the Arcesium platform, ensuring smooth transitions and comprehensive setup of new client funds and investment strategies
Mentor and develop team members by contributing to work allocation, providing guidance on complex activities, and supporting the growth of junior resources across middle office functions
Work within a global team structure, collaborating with colleagues across multiple locations to deliver consistent, high-quality middle office services
Requirements:
An MBA, MSc in Finance, CFA, or any another equivalent qualification
Experience of 2-6 years in the financial services industry with knowledge of listed and OTC instruments
An in-depth understanding of the various stages of the trade life- cycle
An understanding of data sources such as Reuters, Bloomberg, etc.
Attention to detail and drive to achieve process efficiencies
Ability to work with minimal supervision and coordinate with different teams across multiple geographies
Strong communication skills and ability to engage in client discussions around business processes
Proficiency in Microsoft office applications and SQL
