Job Description:

We're seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team. In this role, you'll apply accounting principles to analyze financial data, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with GAAP and company procedures. Job Responsibility:

Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries for general ledger accounts
Perform statistical analyses to identify trends and provide narrative reports
Prepare balance sheets, P&L statements, and other reports to interpret current and projected financial positions
Ensure proper handling and approval of financial transactions within designated limits
Monitor compliance with GAAP and internal controls, including SOX procedures
Investigate and correct errors in financial entries and reports
Assist with annual budgeting and recommend improvements to accounting operations
Prepare federal, state, and local reports and tax returns
Oversee regional fleet vehicle billing and ensure accuracy

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (required)
Minimum 2 years of experience in Accounting/Finance
CPA certification or actively pursuing CPA (required)
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUPs) a plus
Experience with JD Edwards or other ERP systems preferred
Excellent attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to meet deadlines under pressure
