Job Description:

Checkr is hiring a Senior Accountant to oversee General Ledger processes, including month-end close, consolidations, accrual journal entries, and financial statement analysis. The role operates in a hybrid work environment with a location hub in Denver, CO, and offers competitive salary and benefits.

Job Responsibility:

Primary focus on accounting month-end close and consolidation processes
Reconcile cash and cash equivalents and estimate accruals
Prepare monthly accounting journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
Assist in the evaluation and adoption of accounting standard updates, including documenting conclusions around complex and technical accounting areas (GAAP technical accounting)
Oversee continuous process improvement projects for areas of responsibility
Perform financial statement analysis and communicate findings to finance management
Assist with the management of annual financial audits and monthly/quarterly reporting for board meetings

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting
CPA qualification is strongly preferred
Considerable years of accounting-related work experience (Big 4 accounting experience a plus)
Strong knowledge of Oracle Cloud (preferably)
Experience with close management software a plus (preferably FloQast and Oracle Cloud)
Ability to work on and prioritize multiple projects while continuing to meet goals and deadlines
Excellent organizational abilities, customer service orientation, attention to detail, strong written and oral communication skills

Nice to have:

Big 4 accounting experience
Close management software experience (preferably FloQast and Oracle Cloud)
