Job Description:

The role of Senior Accountant entails managing critical accounting functions, ensuring financial accuracy and compliance, and contributing to the financial integrity and growth of the organization. Job Responsibility:

Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
maintain and reconcile the general ledger to ensure all entries align with organizational standards
prepare and post journal entries, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with accounting principles
conduct detailed account reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies
perform bank reconciliations to maintain accurate cash flow records
handle grant accounting, including monitoring expenditures and ensuring compliance with funding requirements
support audits by preparing required documentation and responding to inquiries
collaborate with team members to improve and streamline accounting processes
generate financial reports and provide insights to support decision-making
ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations

Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a senior role
proficiency in managing month-end close processes and general ledger activities
strong understanding of journal entries and account reconciliation
experience conducting bank reconciliations with attention to detail
knowledge of grant accounting principles and compliance requirements
familiarity with accounting standards and regulations, including GAAP
strong analytical and problem-solving skills
proficiency in accounting software and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
