Job Description:

A leading provider of behavioral health services is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its corporate team in Birmingham, AL. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to meaningful work while advancing your career in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Job Responsibility:

Manage payroll, AP accruals, and prepaids
Maintain and reconcile the general ledger
Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close process
Utilize Microsoft Excel and accounting software (Great Plains)
Ensure accurate balance sheet reconciliation and review

Requirements:

2+ years of experience in general accounting and financial reporting
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting standards
High proficiency in Excel and financial systems
Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
Ability to meet deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced environment
